Rydmor Globetrotter
Like many of you right now, we are dreaming of simpler times. The freedom to do as we please and spend time with loved ones. We dream of travel, adventure and to seek. Perhaps to Go Far, Get Lost and Ride our bikes More.
For awhile now we’ve been working on our second prototype. The goal of El Chupacabra (Model I) was to build an AllRoad Racer. A purpose built frame that was snappy, yet stable and we feel very good about those results. For Model II we aimed to be as purposeful as before, but didn’t want to simply tweak a few angles or tubes and slap a new hip name on it. So our next offering is nearly as different from El Chupacabra as you can get, yet stands comfortably next its predecessor.
Introducing the Rydmor Globetrotter:
- 3AL-2.5V titanium tubeset
- Endurance Road Geometry
- Breakaway Frame: combo of “Ritchey” style at the Toptube/Seattube cluster and S&S coupler on the downtube.
- 1x or 2x: easily fits a 50/34 or 48t single.
- Clearance for 36mm tires
- RIM Brakes stopped by mid/long reach CALIPER brakes!!! (We like TRP 957s)
- 44mm Headtube: compatible with your favorite tapered carbon fork or straight steerer steel fork for a classic look and durability for travel.
We are SUPER excited about this frame and the places it can take us. Ride it on a fast group ride with 25-28mm tires, or throw some 36mm gravel tires and explore. Then break it down into a suitcase and travel the world. Where would you go with a Rydmor Globetrotter?
We’ve got to put some more miles on this guy before we get to any sort of final production. Not sure how/when we will release this model. We may just do one small batch limited release, so if you have any interest, let us know.
